3 Days Escape to Kibale National Park

This trip is organized to provide an immerse and unforgettable experience in Kibale national park, the primate capital of the world.  It also offers a glimpse into the local culture and beautiful landscapes of the region.

Itinerary

Our team from Lente Africano Tours & Travel will pick you up from the airport and check you in to the hotel where you will have dinner and a relaxing night.

Day 1: Transfer to Kibale national park

After your breakfast, you will check out from the hotel to start the scenic drive to Kibale national park with various scenic stops. You will have an en-route lunch in Fort Portal town, then continue while viewing the lush farmlands.

And in the afternoon, you will arrive and check in to Chimpanzee Forest Lodge for dinner and stay over.

Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking ang and Bigodi swamp walk.

You will wake up early for breakfast and then head to Kanyanchu visitor center for briefing by the Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers about the rules and regulations of chimpanzee tracking before heading into the forest to start the tracking led by an expert ranger. You will trek through the dense forest in search for chimpanzees and other primates such as red-tailed monkeys and more.

You will return to the lodge for a well-deserved lunch and rest and in the afternoon, have a guided nature walk through the Bigodi wetland sanctuary. This is a community-based conservation project which is home to a rich diversity of primates and a paradise for bird watchers, the walk will provide an excellent opportunity to spot different monkey species and a wide variety of birds like Blue Turaco.

In the evening, you will return to your lodge to relax and reflect on the day’s incredible encounters, have dinner and rest through the night.

Day 3: Departure from Kibale.

You will enjoy a final breakfast in the lodge and continue to Kampala, stopping over  to visit a local site of Amabere Ga Nyamwiru. Then continue and have an en-route lunch, arriving Kampala late in the afternoon. According to your flight schedule, you will be dropped to the airport or any other place as advised.
